As we shift to more fully understand our dependence and participation in our planet’s systems, a new vision of our relationship with life around us demands a rethinking of the impacts of our daily design and consumption decisions both at home and at work. Building on ten years experience at URS Corporation focusing on sustainability in business operations where inefficiencies are largely the result of poor design upstream, I am interested in how the use of biomimicry in innovation can result in disruptive cascading sustainable system innovations that can accelerate our transition to a sustainable future.
